The increase will depend on the level of demand currently on your electrical panel. The electricity cost for a Level 2 charger is $0.10 – $0.15 per kilowatt hour(kWh) and $0.30 – $0.40 per kWh. If a charger is installed on an existing panel with more than 50kW demand, your cost could increase significantly whereas if a charger is installed on its own panel, you may not see a significant increase in costs.
